About the event

This interactive live-stream cooking class is perfect for food and culture enthusiasts who love to discover the flavors of Spain. This online cooking class hosts up to 100 participants and gives food explorers the opportunity to connect with people who are eager to mix and mingle with others online and learn how to cook with the guidance of an authentic local Spanish cooking instructor!! 

About the Chef

Chef Joshua Weitzer is a professional chef residing in Barcelona, Spain. About 5 years ago Chef Joshua opened his very own cooking school in Barcelona where he specialize in Paella, Tapas, Spanish cookery and local catalan cooking. Chef Joshua loves to cook, but believes his greatest quality is his communication skills along with making the connection with people and  really get them excited about learning how to cook something new!

How it works

Before the Class

During the Class

  • Cook along with the instructor or simply watch and entertain yourself
  • Interact and ask questions throughout the session
  • Mix and mingle with other participants after the class

Ingredients:

Seafood Paella - For 2 

  • 1.5 litres/ 50 Ounce of fish stock (broth)
  • 1 Sepia and/or Squid 400 grams/0.9 lbs
  • 1-2 per person Prawns/shrimp (with the head on if possible) 
  • 1-2 per person Clams
  • 2 per person Mussels
  • 200-250 grams / 0.45-0.55 lbs Paella rice (Round Grain Rice like risotto rice)
  • 2 Medium sized Tomatoes
  • 100-150 gram / 0.2-0.3 lbs Red Pepper and green pepper (thinly sliced or chunked)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika or smoked paprika 
  • .20 grams (couple of pinches) Saffron 
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Olive Oil (plenty of it at least .5 cup/ 4 Ounces)

Kitchenware

  • Paella pan or any large wide pan
  • Knifes
  • Plates to serve
